As a Grand Slam Sports intern you will be introduced to all aspects of radio. You may be interested in one area more than the other and we will work with you the best that we can. At GSS everyone works closely together to make us what we are-The Best Sports Marketing Company in St. Louis!
Programming- Help the talent, producer, and board operator get ready for their show and be available throughout the program. You will assist with audio before, during and after the show, look up statistics, podcast the show and be assisting with commercial and imaging production. (Chances for copy writing, voiceover work, and work on Adobe Auditon)
- Podcasting- Editing segments, pulling live read commercials, finding and editing sound for show promos.
- Board Operation- Finding and producing sound for use on air and entering that sound through a production board, job shadowing during shows.
Promotions- Promote the station on site during remote broadcsts and events. All interns will be responsible for checking their weekly schedules, going to scheduled events, bringing the promotional items needed, setting up the prize table, distributing prizes/promotional items to listeners, taking pictures and video, and posting the pictures and/or video taken to KFNS.com Facebook, and Twitter. "The Grand Slam Sports Street Team" will act as the face of the radio station when out at promotions.
Graphic Design- Help with website design and maintenance. During your internship you will design web ads, banners, monthly newsletters, etc. **Must be proficient in all Adobe design programs- Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and Dream Weaver.
Creative Writing-Commercial script writing, magazine and web.
Videographers will have a schedule and will be sent out to events with the Grand Slam Sports Street Team to take video, edit it and post it to You Tube, KFNS.com, and/or facebook. **Must have your own video editing equipment.
Requirements
- 15-25 hours a week
- College credit is preferred not required
- Must be punctual
- Must be dependable
- Must take initiative
