New To Podcasting?
Before we begin, we would like to recommend that you download and install the latest version of iTunes. The latest version of iTunes is simply the best way to automatically receive 590 The Fan Podcasts. There are other free Podcast programs such as iPodder, jPodder, iPodderX, Podcastalley.com, Podcast.net, Odeo.com, but, in our opinion, iTunes is the easiest to use and the best performing of them all.
What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a great way for you to listen to 590 The Fan when you want to. It's radio's answer to TiVo. Unlike streaming radio, which requires real time listening, Podcasting allows you to control how and when you hear your favorite 590 The Fan sports segments. It allows you to receive automatic, FREE, downloads of 590 The Fan content (in mp3 format) directly to your desktop or laptop computer. Better yet, you can have our Podcasts automatically loaded on to your iPod or other MP3 player.
Do I have to have an iPod?
No, Podcasts work on almost all mp3 players but by using iTunes and an iPod, you have the easiest possible access to our 590 The Fan Podcasts. If all you want to do is listen from your computer, you don't even need a portable mp3: Just click on the desired Podcast and listen via iTunes or Windows Media Player. It's that easy.

Why We Recommend iTunes & The iPod
Until now, searching for Podcasts was like scanning for radio stations in a strange city — except you’d be browsing thousands of Podcasts on the Internet. And if you wanted to subscribe to a Podcast, you needed additional software to keep everything up to date. There had to be an easier way. Enter iTunes, with built-in Podcast support. Now, subscribing to 590 The Fan Podcasts is easier than ever. If you have iTunes 4.9 or higher, just click on the "Add To iTunes" button below. It will launch iTunes and take you directly to the 590 The Fan subscription page.
Now you can easily find and subscribe to 590 The Fan podcasts from one of the largest directories on the web — the iTunes Podcast Directory. Once you subscribe to the 590 The Fan Podcasts, iTunes automatically checks for updates and downloads new episodes to your computer. When you sync your iPod or other mp3 player, all your 590 The Fan Podcasts come along for the ride. You get 590 The Fan on-demand radio, delivered automatically over the Internet.
How to get your Podcasts into your non iPod MP3 Player
Open Explorer and navigate to the file shown below. The folder named "Your Podcasts" will be the name of the Podcast you have subscribed to. Your file structure may be slightly different than the representation below. Once there, copy the the mp3 Podcasts to the directory that contains your music files and transfer them to your portable mp3 player as you would transfer any song. That's all there is to it.
